Part of a series called "Reliquaries", this piece features a tiny branch and cone from a Red Pine. Made entirely of hand-cut paper, built on a cork base, each piece includes a glass dome for protection and display. Each piece stands 2" tall, base is 1" in diameter.
This tiny delicate piece, made to order, is inspired by the ornate reliquaries used by the church to preserve holy artifacts. My sacred place is the forest, and my holy artifacts are the fascinating things that I find there - this is my way of representing that preciousness.
